University Guest House
Overview
Our hotel accommodations for the 2009 Annual Conference will be at the University Guest House at Fort Douglas on the University of Utah campus. Built for the 2002 Olympics, the Guest House was the location for the 2003 conference as well. The site is serviced by the TRAX light rail service and will take you back and forth to the University of Utah, downtown Salt Lake, Temple Square, and scenic Sandy.

Reservations can be made now by calling 1-888-416-4075 or 801-587-1000; you will need to mention that you are a part of the group “Affirmation Conference” in order to receive the negotiated room rate. And please remember that room space is subject to availability and the negotiated room rates are not available after August 16, so please book your room reservations early.
Room reservations and conference registration are two separate things; you will need both. And although you can stay elsewhere, by staying in the conference hotel, the University Guest House, you help to fulfill Affirmations contractual room commitment, which contributes to covering the cost of our meeting facilities; and you will be in the middle of the conference venues.

The University Guest House features 135 rooms equipped with refrigerators, microwaves, coffee makers, voice mail, ethernet access with wireless option, cable TV, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, and daily housekeeping. Complimentary continental style breakfast is offered daily in the lobby.

Driving From the Airport:
Exit the airport and follow signs to I-80 East. Stay on I-80 East to Foothill Blvd Exit. Follow Foothill Blvd to Mario Capecchi Drive (formerly Wasatch Drive) and turn Right. Follow Mario Capecchi Drive to the first Light (South Campus Drive/Hempstead Blvd). Turn Right. Follow to Stop sign . This is Fort Douglas Blvd. Turn Left. The Guest House is just past the Chapel on the Left.
If You are Driving to Conference
From the south:
Take I-15 north to I-215 East. Exit at Foothill Blvd (Exit 1). Follow Foothill Blvd to Mario Capecchi Drive (formerly Wasatch Drive) and turn Right. Follow Mario Capecchi Drive to the first Light (South Campus Drive/Hempstead Blvd). Turn Right. Follow to Stop sign . This is Fort Douglas Blvd. Turn Left. The Guest House is just past the Chapel on the Left.
From the North:
